  • Tasting Notes

Concentrated red cherry graced with notes of rose petals, sweet sage, and pepper. In the mouth, lifted acidity, reminiscent of just-ripe raspberry and tart cherry, treats the palate to a melodic blend that creates a perfect frame around the intensity of the fruit. Ripe red fruit flavors persist on the considerable finish.

  • Food Pairing

Harmoniously pairs with an earthy mushroom risotto or a generously seasoned paella.

  • Appelation

Situated entirely inside San Luis Obispo County, Edna Valley traverses the landscape from the Pacific Ocean to the west to the Santa Lucia mountains to the east. Long known for its suitability for the Burgundian varietals. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Edna Valley has garnered recent acclaim for growing some of the most concentrated and focused Syrahs and Grenaches.

Cool temperatures throughout the summer mean that fruit hangs well into Autumn before harvest, gaining unparalleled flavor intensity. Edna Valley's soil ranges from sandy (nearer the coast) to volcanic (in the hills) and is rich in organic materials.
