Robin and Andréa found Truvée Wines. “Truvée” is derived from the French word meaning “to find,” and the wines are made from grapes grown in coastal, sustainably farmed vineyards in the Central Coast of California, the region where Robin grew up.

Robin and Andréa decide to bring their collections of wines from Aotearoa New Zealand and the Central Coast of California under one company and one brand, launching McBride Sisters Collection. With no winemaking legacy to stand on, they set out guided by one set of principles – to create their own wine traditions, and place women, culture, cuisine, taste, and lifestyle at the center of the wine experience.

Robin and Andréa launch Black Girl Magic Wines at Essence Festival in New Orleans at Mayor Cantrell's opening party for the festival – making a BIG splash. Exceptional wine made for exceptional women, Black Girl Magic Wines celebrate her history and her accomplishments, empowering the community to discover and enjoy high-quality wines that are as unique, fun, and bold as they are.

Robin and Andréa launch SHE CAN Wines. Their cans prove that SHE CAN have it all, delivering lip-smackingly delicious, lower calorie, affordable, premium quality wines and spritzers in a can.

As change agents who advocate for fun, experimentation, inclusivity, and empowerment to revolutionize the wine industry and beyond, Robin and Andréa launch their first nonprofit organization. The McBride Sisters SHE CAN Fund is created to support the advancement of women in male- dominated industries with scholarships, mentorship and community.

#SHECANGreaux Initiative

The McBride Sisters SHE CAN Fund launches its first-ever academic scholarship program directed towards Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), created in partnership with Southern University’s College of Agricultural Family and Consumer Sciences (SU Ag). A play on words inspired by the uniquely French heritage of Black Creole history in Louisiana, as well as SU Ag’s rally “Geaux Jags,” #SHECANGreaux’s goal is to generate a pipeline of HBCU students to lead the wine industry’s future of diverse professionals

M Ranch

On Martin Luther King Jr. Day Robin and Andréa acquire M Ranch Estate, an historic vineyard property in the Carneros district of Napa Valley, California. What they build here stands to become an important addition to Napa Valley, where wineries owned by Black women are hard to come by. They celebrate our first harvest in 2023, and will continue to restore and enhance the landscape as the new stewards of this magical place.
