Former beverage director of the “Best Airport Bar in the World”, Tiffanie will share her expertise and delicious wine cocktail recipes made with Black Girl Magic Wines, alongside Black Girl Magic Wines founders Robin McBride and Andréa McBride John.

Senior Accountant

The Senior Accountant is responsible for day-to-day Financial support for 3T Sales, Direct to Consumer, and Winery Operations. The role provides accounting support in inventory, COGS reporting and analysis, account reconciliations and monthly/annual close activities.

Essential Functions

The job description reflects management's assignments of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.

Accounting (90%)

Supports the Controller in the monthly close process, analyzing, adjusting, preparing, and recording journal entries and required accruals both accurately and timely.
Runs data files and reports from multiple sources; consolidates and summarizes data; isolates anomalies and reconciles balances; interprets transactional data for input to financial systems.
Responsible for reconciling general ledger balances.
Responsible for validation/interpretation of information in subsidiary systems (inventory, sales, costs) and adjusting general ledger balance as appropriate.
Responsible for inventory costing work.
Responsible for inventory management, tracking of case goods, reconciling, performance of variance analysis and preparation of supporting adjustments.
Coordinates monthly inventory cycle counts and quarterly physical inventories and adjusts general ledge balance as appropriate.
Performs analysis and forecasts on project and operation production costs.
Applies cost principles to analyze project costs and reconcile variances.
Assists in the budget planning process by providing revenue and cost inputs.

Additional Tasks and Responsibilities (10%)

Performs additional projects, analysis and accounting functions as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to organize and efficiently manipulate large data sets in Excel.
Proven analytical skills and knowledge of key financial and accounting concepts.
Demonstrated advanced computer skills with intermediate or advanced Excel working knowledge.
Good knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and reporting requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively, follow through, build strong relationships, prioritize and manage multiple priorities and timelines, and adjust to change.
Wine Industry experience preferred.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with increasing responsibility in Finance/Accounting.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
