McBride Sisters Collection Reserve Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay 2018

“When I was a baby, my mom drove our bright red Volkswagen bug up the Pacific Coast Highway from LA to a small town called Monterey. This is where I fell in love with vineyards and winemaking.”
- Robin McBride
"The Great Escape"
The Reserve Chardonnay is an escape from the overly oaked style of many California Chardonnays, and instead highlights the natural elegance and bright flavors of the Chardonnay grape. This wine is barrel fermented and aged on the lees for 10 months in 33% new French oak.
This wine is pale straw yellow with a slight hint of gold. On the nose, fresh lemon and lime zest meet tropical notes of golden kiwi and ripe pineapple, laced gracefully with a touch of toasty oak. On the palate you’ll find crisp Golden Delicious apple and creamy lemon curd that explores exceptional length, illustrating the unique power of Santa Lucia Highlands Chardonnay.
Every sip is a journey to the prestigious Santa Lucia Highlands, where we sourced grapes from hand-selected rows of vines for this first of its kind McBride Sisters Collection Reserve Chardonnay. The crisp acidity from the cool climate in Monterey, California is reminiscent of the great French Chardonnays from southern Burgundy.
