Every great wine is at first, an inspired idea that sparks and enduring story of love and an obsessive pursuit towards excellence - the eco.love reserve wines are no exception.
The grapes are farmed in Central Otago, considered the most prestigious wine growing region in New Zealand. eco.love reserve pays homage to the pureness of the environment and The McBride Sisters love affair with cool climate, delicious, hand crafted wines.
As vintners of eco.love Wines from the Marlborough, producing Central Otago wines was a natural next step in the McBride Sisters New Zealand collection of wines. The Sisters' first Central Otago wine adventure was Spring of 2008. Not only, were they struck by the magnificent, raw, beauty of the region that surrounded the vineyards, but its uniqueness, where else can you find glaciers, rain forest, dolphins, penguins, desert-like high country all in the same place?! Ultimately they were seduced by the intensity, elegance and layers of flavor in the Pinot Noir, Riesling, Pinot Blanc & Rosé wines they discovered.
They met with many growers over the following years to secure the ideal organic and sustainably farmed vineyard they believed would produce the best wines. One vineyard in particular, surrounded by wild Thyme bushes that give their eco.love reserve Pinot Noir a unique floral nuance, to go with the out of this world, pure, black cherry and plum flavors of the wine.
Masters of Wines all around the world unanimously agree Central Otago is the best Pinot Noir producing region after Burgundy. Unfortunately because the region is so small, very few people outside of New Zealand get the opportunity to taste these wines appreciated and collected by connoisseurs from all over the globe.
We are now giving McBride Sisters wine lovers access to this elite offering of wine through a limited membership club that will ship 4 bottles of wine, 4 times per year that include the world renowned Pinot Noir AND some other unknown gems; Riesling, Pinot Blanc & Rosé.
The eco.love reserve collection is a highly allocated, limited offering membership, direct from the McBride Sisters wine club.
Handcrafted with an emphasis on excellent organic and sustainably farmed fruit, the focus of the Pinot Noir was to achieve a satin texture, powerful fleshy fruit flavors of black cherry, plum, spice and thyme. The dry Riesling showcases extraordinary spectrum of flavor with nectarine, peach, green apple and floral characteristics.
The off-dry Pinot Blanc is luscious with tropical fruit flavors of peach, pineapple, golden apple and marshmallows. And the Rosé is very elegant with nuanced layered flavors of wild strawberries, candied lemon and raspberries.
These beautiful wines will be sure to impress.
